June Stamp Camp

Join us in June for a techniques-based stamp camp you'll sure to love!  We'll make four different projects, each teaching a specific technique that you can then use on any of your own creations at home.  Here's one of the projects we'll make which uses the Ink, Spray & Smash technique.  I've borrowed the layout from fellow demonstrator Mary Fish. You'll also be able to try out the new Circle Scissors Plus to see how easy it is to cut circles.

Class will be held on Friday, June 26th, from 6:30PM to 9:30PM at my stampin' studio at 5225 Knapp Road in Middlesex NY (No Saturday class will be offered.)  

The cost of the class is $18 and covers all materials.  If you are a member of a Stamper's 10 Club with me or a Demonstrator on the From The Heart Stampers team, you save $5.

Can't make it to my home in June?  Get together a minimum of 6 pre-paid friends, and I will bring the class to you!  Just contact me and we'll work out a date.  (Due to traveling expenses, your class fee would be $20, but the same discounts would apply.)

Splitcoast Sketch Challenge - Sympathy card using Upsy Daisy

Here's the sketch challenge at Splitcoast this week.  I meant to follow the sketch but deviated a bit with what I was trying to accomplish.

One of our stamping team members lost her husband, and I created this card especially for her.

The stamp set is Upsy Daisy which has become one of my most used stamp sets on my shelf.  I love it as a silhouette and also as a colored image.  Here are some links to other Upsy Daisy cards:

October Stamp Camp Projects

I've used a strip of black and one of More Mustard in the background, and I've paper pierced the top left and bottom right corners.  You can always click on the photo to enlarge it.

Family Birthdays

There are several birthdays being celebrated in the family tomorrow, so I got to work making some quick and easy cards for the occasion.

The first card uses Upsy Daisy stamp set stamped in Sahara Sand with some designer paper from the Sale-A-Bration packet Delicate Dots, along with some of the Certainly Celery poly-twill ribbon from the Ribbon Bundle.  I also used the Big Shot Butterflies die to cut out the butterfly and held the ribbon together with a new 5/16" white Jumbo Brad.  The saying is from the Chit-Chat RubOns.

 Next is a card using the same Sale-A-Bration designer paper and Certainly Celery poly-twill ribbon, only this time with the Lovely as a Tree stamp set.  I watercolored the tree lightly with Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Close to Cocoa and Sahara Sand to coordinate with the DP.  The rub-on is also from Chit-Chat.

Here's a very simple card using the new Birthday Wish single stamp and the balloon stamp from Crazy for Cupcakes.  The card stocks and ink are Elegant Eggplant, Rose Red and Kiwi Kiss.

I'm getting ready for a workshop and wanted to show my customers how you can take a layout that you like, change the stamp set and color scheme, and have a completely different card.

I really liked the way my Valentine's day card turned out here so I used that as the layout sketch.

I used the Upsy Daisy stamp set, the Urban Garden Designer Series Paper and the butterfly is die cut with the new Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die and the Big Shot.  Check out my Big Shot Club here to get yours!
